Job summary

Leidos is seeking Software Developers to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the development of next‑generation flight service and air traffic systems. This role focuses on containerized applications in an Agile/SAFe environment, with cloud‑native platforms and government programs requiring US citizenship and a favorable Public Trust.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, write and test code in Java and React, and help deliver safety‑critical services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with less than 2 years.
• Experience with Java and React required; web development with HTML/CSS/JS.
• Experience with Linux and version control (Git or Subversion).
• Knowledge of cloud-based systems and unit testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently or in Agile/SAFe teams.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Develop software individually and in teams within an Agile environment.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, Release Planning, and related activities.
• Write and run unit and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot issues in lab and operational environments.
• Provide cross-team support with systems engineering and DevSecOps.
