Job summary

Leidos is seeking Software Developers to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the development of next-generation flight service and air traffic systems.

This work aligns with the FAA’s broader initiative to modernize legacy flight service capabilities, replacing aging infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms designed to improve safety and operational efficiency—particularly in remote and high-dependency aviation environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with Java programming language and web development.
• Experience with React, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Linux, and Git/Subversion.
• Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code) and unit testing (Junit, Mockito).
• Knowledge of cloud-based systems and Agile/SAFe familiarity.
• Ability to obtain SF-85 Public Trust suitability and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop software individually and in teams using Agile practices.
• Participate in Daily Stand-ups, Release Planning, and related activities.
• Write and run unit and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot issues in lab and operational environments.
• Provide support for systems engineering and DevSecOps teams.
