Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our NYC-based engineering team. You will collaborate with frontend, backend, data, and integration engineers, gaining hands-on experience with our codebase and enterprise-grade software.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles and at least one modern programming language or framework.
• Demonstrated initiative through personal projects, research, or open-source work.
• Enthusiasm for learning and growing in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Excitement about working closely with a collaborative, highly skilled, in-person team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver product features with support and mentorship from senior engineers
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Assist with the development of integrations, internal applications, and platform enhancements
• Troubleshoot issues and learn to diagnose problems across multiple areas of the technology stack
• Participate in code reviews and adopt engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-quality software solutions
• Gradually take ownership of larger features and projects as your skills and experience grow
