Job summary

DCS Corporation in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support autonomy and control systems for air platforms. You will work on containerized services, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and interface documentation with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a BS in CS/CE (or related) and experience with Java, C/C++, Linux, and version control. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD clearance are required. On-site with occasional travel.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline with programming experience.
Two years of related experience or a master’s degree with 1 year of experience; co‑op or internship applicable.
Familiarity with automated testing, containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Linux.
AGILE software development processes.
Understanding software architecture design.
Experience with source control systems (Git).
Good organizational skills and team environment experience.

Software Engineer - Java, C/C++

DCS Corporation, an employee‑owned company, is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support our Aerospace Technology Development team in Dayton, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑impact, multi‑year initiatives focused on testing and evaluating cutting‑edge, autonomy and autonomous control systems for air platforms which will integrate capabilities across maneuvering, communications, sensing, user interface design, and performance monitoring and evaluation.

Work with containerized autonomy services.
Design software test fixtures.

Required Skills

U.S. citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.
Must have a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (e.g. Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering) with demonstrated programming experience.
Two years of related experience or a master’s degree with 1 year of experience; industry‑relevant co‑op or internship experience is applicable.
Familiarity with automated testing, test results analysis, containerized deployments, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Linux.
Familiarity with AGILE software development processes.
Understanding software architecture design.
Experience working with source code control systems (specifically Git).
