Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Software Developer (Junior) at Eglin AFB, FL to support the Datalinks Test Flight team. You will help develop and sustain tactical datalinks applications, participate in all SDLC phases, and collaborate with a skilled software engineering group in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain interim DoD Secret clearance within 3 weeks of offer.
• Must obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent within 3 weeks of start.
• Experience with .NET languages including C# and VB.NET.
• Experience with software testing and SDLC phases.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to travel up to 15% to contractor sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide software engineering support for DoD Developmental Test and Evaluation.
• Collaborate with software team and stakeholders following Agile and SDLC.
• Develop and maintain Windows-based software in OO languages.
• Develop and maintain XSD Schema files.
• Provide software support to end users.
• Create software technical and user documentation.
• Support test execution and data collection activities.
• Propose solutions to complex problems using ingenuity and creativity.
• Attend meetings to provide briefings and recommendations.
