Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Developer in Daly City, CA to design, develop, and maintain responsive web apps, dashboards, and decision-support tools for client services and internal use.

The role partners with Cloud DevOps and data scientists to translate environmental data into intuitive digital experiences, while upholding secure, scalable development workflows across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years front-end development experience; 5+ preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep).
• Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, R).
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly) and BI tools (Power BI).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and deployment workflows.
• Git-based workflows and secure development practices.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and DSTs; integrate with REST APIs and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with Cloud DevOps Architect to deploy in secure cloud environments.
• Maintain GitHub-based standards, templates, workflows, and onboarding docs.
• Provide training on Git/GitHub fundamentals and collaboration workflows.
• Ensure secure development practices and secrets handling (Azure Key Vault).
• Document code reviews, repository management, and sandbox environments.
