Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain responsive web apps and dashboards supporting client-facing services and internal tools.

You’ll work with React/Next.js, Vue.js, and data viz libraries, integrating with REST APIs and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. You will contribute to reusable components, CI/CD processes, and secure development practices while collaborating with data scientists and engineers to translate complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of three years of professional front-end development experience; five+ years preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, R).
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and front-end deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using React/Next.js, Vue.js.
• Build interactive data visualization dashboards and DSTs; integrate with Power BI and ArcGIS Online.
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional web experiences and create reusable components.
• Integrate apps with REST APIs and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and deploy DSTs in secure environments.
• Help implement and maintain GitHub-based development standards and onboarding docs.
• Provide training and office hours on Git/GitHub workflows and code review practices.
• Champion secure development practices including secret management and RBAC.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and IT staff to deliver end-to-end solutions.
