ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a cybersecurity professional to monitor, triage, and investigate security events within DHMS IT environments. You will work with IT, operations, compliance, and risk teams to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.

The role requires foundational cybersecurity knowledge, the ability to review alerts and logs, and the capability to follow incident response procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or related IT security activities.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, attack methods, indicators of compromise, and safeguards.
• Foundational ability to review security alerts and logs and escalate findings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Must have current Secret clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsabilités

• Monitor SIEM queues and alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools to identify suspicious activity.
• Perform initial alert triage by assessing severity, affected assets, and evidence.
• Review logs to identify patterns, establish incident scope and timelines.
• Follow incident response playbooks and elevate confirmed incidents with evidence and notes.
• Assist senior analysts with security assessments and mitigation verification.
• Maintain incident records with sensitivity considerations.
