Job summary

Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking a Junior Snowboard Instructor (Ages 14–17) for part-time seasonal work. You will assist with youth lessons, help with check-in, equipment, lunch, and end-of-day activities while gaining experience on the mountain.

Requirements include 14–17 years old, PSIA-AASI online courses completed, ability to ski/snowboard on blue terrain, and strong communication. A background check may be required for those 18+.

Qualifications

• Age 14–17 required and able to learn safely.
• Successful completion of prerequisite PSIA-AASI online courses.
• Minimum ability to ski and/or snowboard on blue groomed terrain.
• Passion for teaching and the mountain environment.
• Strong communication and guest services skills.
• Must provide own equipment.
• Must teach a minimum of 18 days per season, weekends and school holidays.
• Those 18+ must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lessons and lesson check-in for youth programs.
• Help with equipment, lunch, and end-of-day activities.
• Support instructors and ensure a safe, organized experience.
