Job summary

Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking an enthusiastic Part-time Non-certified Snowboard Instructor to turn a passion for snowsports into teaching on the mountain. You’ll learn to teach through Meadows Learning Center training, guide students as young as three, and contribute to a safe, welcoming guest experience.

No certification is required; you’ll join a team dedicated to fun, learning, and high-quality guest service across resort operations this winter season.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of prerequisite on-line PSIA-AASI E-Learning Courses.
• Minimum ability to ski and/or snowboard safely on blue groomed terrain.
• Passion for teaching and the mountain environment.
• Strong communication and guest services skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Must have sufficient sight, speech and hearing abilities to learn and instruct guests.
• Ability to read and reply to email communications professionally.
• Must provide own equipment.

Responsibilities

• Teach group and private lessons after Meadows Learning Center training.
• Work with students as young as three while developing teaching and riding skills.
• Collaborate with the broader mountain team to provide guest service and support operations.
