Job summary

Loveland Ski Area is seeking a Non-Certified Ski & Ride School Non-Certified Apprentice (Ages 14-17 Only). You will assist in providing high quality technique and tactics instruction to beginner and novice skiers, in a supportive environment that emphasizes safety and fun.

This seasonal, part-time role requires weekend and holiday availability, with duties ranging from assisting instructors to equipment help and lift protocol.

Qualifications

• Must be able to verbally communicate, demonstrate and explain concepts clearly.
• Must be patient and nurturing to students.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs and stand in extreme weather at high elevations.
• Intermediate skiing skills are required.
• Basic computer skills to monitor job assignments and communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Instructors in teaching and conducting group lessons with safety and fun as priorities.
• Provide content introduction, guidance, feedback, practice, and wrap up per Loveland materials.
• Assist students with equipment and help them learn to get off the snow if they fall.
• Demonstrate skiing maneuvers, including loading/unloading lifts.
• Attend instructor training as assigned.
• Follow children procedures when working with youth.
• Support duties across departments as needed (e.g., lift operations).
