Job summary

Bolton Valley is seeking a Junior Ski or Snowboard Instructor to join our Ski and Ride School. This part-time seasonal role teaches skiers of all ages and abilities, while delivering a fun and safe learning environment and supporting department operations.

You will assist with scheduling, bookings, terrain parks, facilities and point-of-sale duties, and report to the Ski and Ride Manager. The position requires maintaining safety and a passion for teaching.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Patience and a love of the outdoors and teaching.
• Background check necessary to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Instructs groups or individuals in a fun lesson format.
• Teaches proper technique appropriate to the ability level.
• Promotes safety and teaches students to stay safe when skiing/riding on their own.
• Participates in clinics and free skiing to improve personal skiing skills.
• Attends PSIA and AASI clinics and exams, on an ongoing basis.
• Pre-season clinics required.
• Greet guests and direct guests to proper lesson locations.
• Must successfully complete instructor training.
• Shovel snow, fix items, and perform general maintenance in the clubhouse.
• Assist injured park guests, and call ski patrol if needed.
