Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Site Reliability Automation and Orchestration Engineer to support the NMCI program in a high-visibility DoD environment. The role focuses on automation, testing, release management, and knowledge transfer across on-prem and cloud-like environments.

Qualified candidates will have hands-on automation experience, Ansible expertise, and the ability to operate in classified settings with an active DoD secret clearance. Local travel to NMCI locations may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in a technical field and 2–4 years of related experience.
• 1–2 years of hands-on site engineering automation.
• Ability to maintain an IAT Level II baseline certification within 3 months.
• Active DoD secret clearance and US citizenship.
• Ansible knowledge and Windows experience.
• Experience with CI/CD toolsets (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Automate routine tasks and software updates; support SRE and release management.
• Document automated acceptance, integration, and regression testing for new apps and capabilities.
• Develop Ansible playbooks in non-production and migrate to production networks.
• Participate in release management planning, scheduling, and procedures.
• Create work instruction materials for Automation and Orchestration processes and provide training.
