Job summary

Programmers.io in Santa Clara, CA seeks a hands-on Electrical Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support board bring-up, HW troubleshooting, and board testing per the test plan. You'll work in a lab environment with IO interfaces such as PCIe, USB, HDMI and I2C/SPI.

You will read schematics, review Cadence Allegro layout files (*.brd), perform basic Linux tasks and run Python/Bash scripts to validate hardware.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in EE with 1-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of board bring up, HW troubleshooting, and board testing per test plan.
• Experience in lab environment with electrical measurements of IO interfaces (PCIe, USB, HDMI, I2C/SPI) and test equipment.
• Able to read schematics and work with Cadence Allegro layout files (*.brd).
• Familiar with basic Linux commands and Python/Bash script execution flow.
• Experience assembling an x86 motherboard (connecting SMPS, DRAM, PCIe, display, peripherals).
• Knowledge of Silicon PVT characterization.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills; basic MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
