Job description

The Junior Service Line Cook at Joji will work to prepare and present guests with hot and cold appetizers and other similar menu items, adhering to the restaurant's recipes and procedures to ensure a unique and enjoyable dining experience.

We are seeking professional cooks with 2+ years of fine dining experience; experience in a Japanese restaurant is a plus.

Requirements:

  1. Prepare appetizers, soups, and salads.
  2. Plate, decorate, and present dishes to customers.
  3. Follow recipes and team processes to meet time and quality standards.
  4. Maintain food safety standards, including proper storage, use of PPE, and maintaining proper pH of rice, among others.
  5. Ensure correct temperatures are always met and maintained.
  6. Follow cleaning procedures and ensure hygiene practices, including thorough cleaning at the end of each shift.
  7. Collaborate effectively and respectfully with team members.
  8. Communicate with management, report equipment issues and service concerns.
  9. Minimize inventory waste.
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned.
