Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT is seeking an entry-level Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering organization. The role focuses on support, development, and continuous improvement of 200mm semiconductor manufacturing processes, enabling throughput, yield, and cost improvements.

You will collaborate across technicians, operators, and cross-functional teams to meet performance targets and advance new technologies while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited degree program. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Travel - Up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement efforts in support of throughput improvement, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize equipment and processes to meet technology and manufacturing targets.
• Lead hands-on, tactical troubleshooting to resolve long-term performance issues; deconstruct and understand complex systems.
• Collaborate with technicians and operators to support delivery and quality commitments to customers.
• Collaborate with technology development, integration, characterization, and quality engineering to develop new technologies and drive yield improvements.
• Understand both equipment and process sides of issues to deliver on-time products with excellent quality.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods to complex systems to address performance issues.

Education

Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field

GPA 3.0 or higher

English language proficiency

Travel up to 10%
