Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer to provide onsite support in Alexandria, Virginia.

The role will work with a team of system administrators and security professionals to deploy, configure, and maintain secure Windows and Linux systems in a federal environment. You will deploy applications to production, ensure DISA STIG compliance, configure web servers, and manage SQL Server databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience deploying and maintaining server OS in a secure Federal environment.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Proficiency in Windows Server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain secure Windows and Linux systems.
• Maintain secure app and database servers per DISA STIGs.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy applications from development to production.
• Configure web servers hosting a variety of applications.
• Administer SQL Server databases; develop and execute SQL scripts; backup/restore.
• Manage database permissions and cloud resources; support developers’ access.
• Assist security team with access tokens and routine security checks.
