Job summary

Pace Analytical Services in West Springfield, MA, is seeking a Scientist for our Wet Chemistry department to perform hands-on analysis and ensure the integrity of environmental data that protects communities and ecosystems. You will analyze environmental samples using established chemistry methods, review results, and document procedures while maintaining well-organized laboratory records.

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required, and PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or STEM field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment with PPE provided.
• Willingness to train and develop in wet chemistry techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using chemistry/biochemistry methods to identify contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality records.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
