CACI International Inc. seeks a Junior Cyber Software Engineer to design, develop, and secure next‑generation tactical cyber infrastructure and defense solutions.

You will apply Rust and other memory‑safe languages to build efficient software across embedded architectures and tactical networks. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to modernize the tactical cyber landscape, reduce vulnerabilities, and support critical DoD missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent military / co‑op experience.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals (safe/unsafe Rust, ownership & borrowing rules, concurrency).
• Hands-on experience or working familiarity with C, C++, or Go.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and secure next-generation tactical cyber infrastructure.
• Apply Rust and memory-safe languages to build efficient software across embedded architectures, military ground vehicles, and tactical networks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to modernize the tactical cyber landscape and reduce vulnerabilities.
• Review, debug, and test software using automated pipelines to meet design requirements and validate defense performance metrics.
