Qualifications

  • Experience (1-5yrs) in a similar role or a bachelor’s degree in insurance/risk, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with risk management software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex risk-related concepts to stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in insurance, risk analysis or construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Review vendor insurance endorsements and certificates to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Verify vendor registration and licensure based on project location.
  • Respond to requests for Stellar’s certificate of insurance, endorsements, and related documents.
  • Process and track automobile and worker’s compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations during new project setup.
  • Assist with annual insurance renewals and obtaining project-specific coverages.
  • Assist with preparation of Risk reports; track and maintain logs related to the above.
  • Participate in risk assessment meetings and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The role of Junior Risk Analyst reports to Stellar’s Risk Manager and facilitates identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the company, requiring communication and collaboration with nearly all departments and business units within Stellar. The ideal candidate possesses foundational knowledge of construction risks and/or commercial insurance, with a desire to expand the same and grow within the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Review vendor insurance endorsements and certificates to ensure compliance with contract documents.

  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 10 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
