Job summary

Amentum's Dahlgren, VA team is seeking a Junior RF Engineering Technician to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects testing for NSWCDD. You will operate and maintain test equipment and assist in certifying DoD and non-DoD systems for safety and reliability in the electromagnetic environment.

This role requires about one year in electronics or RF, familiarity with test instruments, and an active Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% is expected; on-the-job mentoring is provided.

Qualifications

• One year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems.
• Knowledge of using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and TDRs.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance required; US citizenship necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• On-the-job mentoring provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing/certification.
• Assess whether systems meet E3 design specifications and function in the electromagnetic environment for safety and reliability.
• Interact with customers and work as a team across diverse test events.
