About the Role

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will join Airspan’s dynamic and highly experienced team, working to develop and expand our automated test capabilities for radio base stations that support multiple radio access technologies, including 5G, 4G/LTE, and GSM.

Airspan’s hardware portfolio is built for scalability and reliability, with over 50,000 5G radios and 700,000 4G radios deployed in live networks worldwide. Our solutions meet the demands of public and private networks with unmatched efficiency and performance, spanning dense urban deployments and expansive industrial applications. With proven success in Open RAN interoperability and conformance testing, Airspan continues to innovate and deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test tools and frameworks in Python for validating O-RAN radio products.
  • Provide support for unit level radio functional and performance integration
  • Provide support for new product integration test
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine root cause of test issues and test failures
  • Drive continuous improvements of test processes
  • Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Master’s degree (preferred) in EE/CS or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools in Python.
  • Skills in XML, Visual Studio, and C# are a plus.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Bitbucket.
  • Ability to build and work with opensource DU projects
  • Experience with test execution, results collection, and report generation
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and high-speed oscilloscopes
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating system configuration
  • Understanding of applicable wireless technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G-NR) and industry standards (e.g., 3GPP)
  • Knowledge of security TLS, Certificate Authority, SSH, SFTP, FTPES
  • Knowledge of networks, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, VLANs, fiber, SFPs, Netconf
  • Knowledge of system synchronization techniques such as NTP, PTP, PPS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
