Job summary

Strongpoint Partners in Chino Hills, CA, seeks a Junior Retirement Plan Administrator to own an assigned caseload of defined contribution plans and assist with 401(k) testing and client communications. You will learn plan operations, regulatory requirements, and collaborate with a close-knit team to deliver accurate administration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused, with a willingness to learn and grow in retirement plan administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years retirement plan or related industry experience; 2–4 years client service preferred.
• Experience with 401(k), defined contribution plans, or compliance testing is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of defined contribution retirement plans with guidance from senior members.
• Support day-to-day administration of 401(k) and other defined contribution plans.
• Assist with annual compliance and nondiscrimination testing, including data gathering and review.
• Communicate with clients regarding plan provisions, testing, and retirement plan matters.
• Develop knowledge of plan documents, provisions, and applicable retirement plan regulations.
• Shadow Senior Plan Administrators to build testing, administration, and documentation skills.
• Utilize systems efficiently to complete administrative and client service tasks.
• Maintain accurate and organized plan and client information.
• Monitor plans for deadlines and client needs; participate in meetings and trainings.
