Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an entry-level Refrigeration Department member to operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration and associated HVAC systems. The role includes cleaning, roof work, and shadowing technicians to prepare for future Refrigeration Tech opportunities.

The position requires physical work in hot/cold/wet environments, lifting up to 40 lbs, and a 6-day schedule with possible overtime. Training will cover refrigeration and general maintenance computer-based modules.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade school or vocational training in industrial or commercial refrigeration.
• 1 year of continuous employment with a single employer in the last 36 months or completed formal trade schooling.
• Must be able to pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and annual recertification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain refrigeration systems while complying with Tyson policies.
• Perform cleaning/washing of ammonia refrigeration air units, HVAC/MAUs on the roof, and change filters.
• Shadow Refrigeration Technicians to gain training for ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Create Maintenance Notifications and work orders; log hours in SAP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
