Job description

The Junior Recruiter supports the talent acquisition function by assisting with sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates throughout the hiring process. This role focuses on identifying qualified applicants, conducting initial screenings, and ensuring a smooth and efficient interview experience for both candidates and hiring managers. The recruiter will collaborate closely with the HR team and department leaders to meet hiring needs while maintaining a positive candidate experience. The Junior Recruiter will contribute to recruitment and employment activities, including job postings, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and follow-ups, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. This position is classified as non‑exempt under the provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked over 40 in a work week.

About the Role

The Junior Recruiter (Bilingual in English and Spanish) supports the talent acquisition function by assisting with sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates throughout the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Post job openings across job boards and internal platforms
  • Source and identify potential candidates using online tools and databases
  • Review resumes and applications to shortlist qualified candidates
  • Conduct initial phone or virtual screenings to assess basic qualifications and interest
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with screening notes and recommendations
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate availability between candidates and hiring teams
  • Communicate interview details and ensure a positive candidate experience (Outlook)
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers after interviews (Email, Text Message or call)
  • Process new hire onboarding
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ADP)
  • Assist with filing
  • Assist with pipeline tracking and status updates for open roles
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Internship or prior experience in recruiting, HR, staffing agency, or talent acquisition support
  • Familiarity with sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to interviewing, screening, or candidate coordination processes
  • Basic understanding of hiring workflows and employment practices
