Job summary

EIS inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quality Engineer to support our production team. You will monitor processes on the floor, help perform root cause analysis on defects, and ensure products meet specifications.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in quality assurance, documentation, and continuous improvement, with mentorship from Manufacturing Engineers and a pathway to grow within the quality team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and QC concepts.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
Strong problem-solving with data-driven approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure adherence to drawings, specs, and quality standards.
Assist in investigating non-conformances and customer complaints; support CAPA initiatives.
Create, maintain, and update quality control documentation (procedures, control plans, SOPs).
Collaborate with floor supervisors, operators, and engineers to identify bottlenecks and drive Lean improvements.
Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing equipment to verify dimensions and material properties.
Assist in internal and external quality audits (e.g., ISO 9001).
