Job summary

Sparksoft is hiring a QA/Test Engineer in the United States to review requirements and execute manual and basic automated tests. You will identify and track defects and perform regression tests after changes to ensure stability.

Expect collaboration with Agile teams, creation of test scripts and documentation, and ongoing involvement in testing strategy and tools such as JIRA, Confluence and TestRail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of functional testing, test case development, and defect management.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Agile methodologies and test automation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and user stories to execute manual (and basic automated) test cases.
• Identify, log, and track software bugs using tracking tools.
• Perform regression testing after bug fixes or new feature deployments to ensure existing features remain stable.
• Create and update test documentation, test scripts, and end-of-cycle status reports.
• Collaborate with Agile teams during sprint planning, testing, and defect resolution.
