Job summary

Gulf Island LLC is seeking an entry‑level Junior Project Manager to assist with planning, coordinating, executing and closing complex fabrication and construction projects in a heavy industrial setting. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement and Clients to ensure safety, on‑time delivery, and adherence to customer specs.

You will help track schedules, gather status information, support cost tracking, and maintain project records while engaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement in related field (Business Admin, Maritime/PM, Construction/Engineering).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn project scheduling software and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in both office and fabrication yard environments; able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget and schedule for project contracts.
• Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables and action items.
• Maintain communication with customers, inspectors and management about concerns and change orders.
• Support cost tracking by compiling expenditures and labor hours.
• Maintain organized project records and submittals; manage change requests.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers on recurring items and meetings.
