Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking a Junior Project Manager for entry-level exposure to planning, coordination, execution and closeout of complex fabrication and construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement and Clients to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and specification compliance in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as listed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn project scheduling and management software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plans, budgets and schedules.
• Track schedules, milestones, deliverables and action items.
• Maintain open communication with customers and inspectors regarding concerns and changes.
• Assist in reviewing customer specs, drawings, contracts and technical docs.
• Support cost tracking with expenditures, labor hours and budgets.
• Maintain organized project records including correspondence and submittals.
• Prepare meeting agendas, notes and follow-up logs.
