Job summary

ARCO in Irvine, CA is seeking a Project Manager to handle managerial and administrative aspects of design-build projects. You will estimate, schedule, review designs with owners, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management and 0–3 years PM experience, with preference for ground-up project and estimation experience. Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years project management experience with a general contractor preferred but not required.
• Experience running ground-up projects in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, and/or lab/pharma facilities preferred.
• Estimation experience preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee the buyout process and subcontractor selection.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
• Incorporate customer feedback to improve processes and meet expectations.
