About the job Junior Project Manager / Coordinator

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and energetic individual to join our team as a Junior Project Manager/Coordinator. In this role, you will assist in the coordination and management of projects from conception through to completion. You will be involved in the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a foundational skill set in project management to grow and learn in an engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Aid in the management of detailed project plans to track progress, ensuring that projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assist senior project staff with the coordination of internal resources for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings, taking minutes, and following up on action points.
  • Help measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate issues or potential risks as needed.
  • Manage the project administration, including organizing and attending stakeholder meetings, and ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Assist in the management of the relationship with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate and manage the change control process, and handle project financials including budgeting and cost control.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a project management role or similar is preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, orPMBOK).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Competence in using computers and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, JIRA, or similar).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, adapt to changes, and learn quickly.

Nice to Have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or in pursuit of.
  • Experience in the tech industry.
  • Basic understanding of software development processes and procedures.
