Job description

Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is currently seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team! This project involves the construction of a new LEED-certified Jamaica Bus Depot facility located at 165-18 Tuskegee Airmen Way, Jamaica NY 11433.

Project Description: Demolition of the existing Jamaica Bus Depot and other properties, with the new depot including a one-story building, parking, fueling, washing, maintenance, and rooftop parking. The project also includes a three-level administrative building, sound barrier walls, and a temporary parking lot designed with environmentally conscious stormwater management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Baccalaureate Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction-related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1-3 years of full-time experience as a technical specialist.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• A valid driver's license in New York State.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to undergo a background check as per local regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in completing projects.
• Understand project scope and oversee operations.
• Assist with scheduling and resource coordination.
• Supervise from start to finish, offering guidance.
• Hire and train project staff.
