Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior Project Controls Specialist in New York, NY to assist with project controls, budget tracking, data analysis, and reporting under the guidance of the Project Manager. The role focuses on maintaining documentation, coordinating meetings, and producing data-driven presentations for project governance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline and 1–3 years of project controls experience with strong MS Office and Excel skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in Project Controls is preferred
• Experience with cross-functional teams and effective reporting
• Strong MS Office and Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Responsibilities

• Cost management and tracking of project budgets
• Data analysis and reporting
• Project scope change control
• Assist in report writing and data visualization
• Support the Project Manager and project vision
• Maintain documentation in SharePoint or similar EDMS
• Communicate with project team members
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes and actions
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets/databases for logs and progress reports
• Generate presentations as directed by the Project Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
