Jacobs is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quantity and Progress Tracking Project Controls Professional for a site-based assignment in Spartanburg, SC or Baton Rouge, LA, with future US-wide on-site work. The role focuses on construction progress tracking, quantities installed, earned value, and reporting with a collaborative project controls team.

You’ll work to ensure accurate progress data, validate subcontractor progress, and support progress payments while growing in a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project controls, construction progress tracking, or related fields.
• Experience tracking installed quantities and progress on large industrial projects.
• Understanding of earned value management (EVM) and progress measurement.
• Experience supporting weekly/monthly project reporting processes.
• Ability to analyze planned vs actual progress and identify variances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the project quantity database.
• Track quantity growth, scope changes, and trends throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish progress measurement procedures and weighing methodologies.
• Define measurable progress quantities and percent-complete criteria for Construction.
• Collect, validate, and track installed quantities for progress reporting.
• Review contractor-reported progress against field conditions and quantities.
• Conduct field walkdowns to validate progress and installed work.
• Calculate earned quantities, earned progress, and percent complete for reporting.
• Monitor planned vs actual quantities, progress performance, and productivity trends.
• Track completed quantities against invoices and validate progress payments.
• Maintain progress reporting tools, databases, Power BI dashboards, and systems.
