Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an Assistant Project Controls Specialist to support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including cost control, progress measurement, scheduling development, and earned value management. The role involves assisting with WBSS, POs/subcontracts, and change orders across small projects.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related field, with experience substitutable for the degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Required or
• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Required
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• OSHA 10-hour safety certification Ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist project controls activities including cost control, schedule development and schedule control.
• Input data, maintain logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
• Assist with creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop and maintain scheduling and cost reports, cash flows and forecasts on small projects.
• Assist in reviewing and approving Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for proper coding.
• Assist with progress measurements and earned value management development and verification.
• Assist with field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.
