Job summary

LHH seeks an Entry-Level Accountant in Nashville to join a growing accounting team and build a solid foundation in project accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. You will work closely with accounting leadership and gain exposure to multiple aspects of the function.

The role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or early-career professional, with opportunities to learn and develop skills in month-end close, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project accounting activities, including tracking project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review invoices, expense reports, and payment documentation for accuracy.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Support financial reporting and analysis activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and internal departments to resolve accounting-related questions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
