Job summary

Guidehouse in Washington, DC is seeking a Documentation / Technical Writing professional to provide administrative and operational support for office, department, and program activities. You will assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of business initiatives and prepare reports and recommendations.

The role requires an AA/AS in a related field and two years of relevant experience, strong written and verbal communication, and proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support for office, department, and program activities.
  • Support planning, coordination, and implementation of business, information, and management initiatives.
  • Conduct research, analyze information, and prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a liaison between client representatives and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries, service requests, and operational issues.
  • Manage customer expectations and support issue resolution in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with tracking and analyzing operational trends.
  • Develop reports, metrics, and documentation to support program management activities.
  • Coordinate referrals to technical, professional, or service personnel for repairs, support services, training, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with property management and accountability activities, including supporting designated property custodians and accountable property managers.
  • Maintain administrative records, files, and program documentation.
  • Ensure administrative services are delivered within established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Independently execute recurring office procedures and administrative tasks.
  • Review correspondence, reports, and other outgoing materials for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Draft and compose correspondence requiring business and technical understanding.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need
  • Associate's degree (AA/AS) in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant professional experience supporting business operations, administrative services, office management, customer service, or program support activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
What Would Be Nice To Have
  • Experience supporting a federal government agency, preferably the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Experience developing and maintaining business reports, dashboards, or operational metrics.
  • Experience supporting property accountability, asset management, or inventory tracking activities.
  • Experience coordinating customer support functions, service requests, or administrative operations.
  • Knowledge of records management and document control practices.
  • Experience supporting program management offices (PMOs) or operational support functions in a federal environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $57,300.00-$85,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
