Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Transmission & Distribution practice across the southeastern United States, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chattanooga and Nashville. The APM will assist PMs on varied projects, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, and supporting project controls across all stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field with 5 years of applicable experience.
• PMP or similar certification is preferred.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Management Teams plan, execute and monitor projects through all stages, including siting, permitting, estimating, engineering, right-of-way, project controls, procurement, construction oversight and closeout.
• Manage Contractors' submittals, RFIs, change directives, invoices, and schedules.
• Verify contractor compliance with quality, safety and environmental programs.
• Assist with project controls efforts, including cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, setup and field progress tracking.
• Assist development of internal/external reports on budgeting, cash flow and project status.
