Job summary

Neighborly Software is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Atlanta team. This hands-on, execution-focused role is ideal for someone early in their PM career who wants to build real PM chops by writing tickets, clarifying edge cases, and keeping delivery moving in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

You will partner with other Product Managers to translate requirements into clear, engineering-ready work, learn to spot gaps in designs, and engage with customers to understand pain points.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years in product management, business analysis, or related role; SaaS preferred.
• Strong written communication to turn vague asks into tickets.
• Comfort with JIRA and Confluence, or quick willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT for research and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Break down features into clear, actionable requirements with peers.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and evaluate risks.
• Assess customer insights and market data to suggest actions.
• Write engineering-ready tickets with acceptance criteria and edge cases.
• Translate designs into implementation-ready specs and flag gaps.
• Maintain and groom the backlog with the Senior PM; manage scope changes.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, QA, and customer teams.
• Triage customer-reported issues and feature requests.
• Analyze market trends and competitive activity to inform decisions.
• Leverage AI tools to speed up documentation and research.
• Track progress toward sprint and release goals.
• Document decisions and workflows for the team.
