Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Process Engineer for its Massillon, OH mill. You will analyze, plan, and control mechanical and chemical processes to improve cost, safety, quality, and throughput within a continuous improvement framework.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or Paper Science, 2 years in process engineering, and familiarity with control systems. Opportunities include environmental and productivity projects and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Paper Science and/or Engineering.
• EIT certification or on EIT certification track preferred.
• 2 years of work in a process engineering related role or equivalent; paper mill experience preferred.
• Good troubleshooting skills and knowledge of digital and analog control systems.
• Ability to work with model based control applications.

Responsibilities

• Improve mill profit and loss by evaluating and implementing process improvements.
• Investigate and solve production and process problems with data analysis.
• Develop plans, specifications and reports for trials.
• Support environmental, quality and productivity studies.
