Job summary

Komar, a global leader in sleepwear, layering, and intimates, seeks a creative Junior Print/Textile Designer to join our design team in New York. You’ll craft original prints, explore colorways, and develop concepts aligned with seasonal directions.

Ideal candidates hold a textile or fashion design degree, 1–3 years of experience, and strong skills in Illustrator and Photoshop. A portfolio showcasing print and textile work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in print or textile design preferred; internships considered.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong sense of color, scale, composition, and repeat patterns.
• Ability to research and interpret fashion and market trends.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create original prints, patterns, and artwork for seasonal collections.
• Assist in the development of print and textile concepts based on trends, customer needs, and brand direction.
• Research fashion, color, print, and textile trends.
• Prepare artwork for presentations, production, and vendor communication.
• Create colorways and modify existing prints as needed.
• Maintain organized artwork, CADs, and print libraries.
• Collaborate with designers, product development, and production teams.
• Ensure artwork is accurate and meets technical and production requirements.
