Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a dependable Machine Operator – Pre-Assembly to support the preparation and assembly of components used in the manufacturing process. You will operate pre-assembly equipment, prepare parts and subassemblies, and ensure materials meet quality and production requirements before final assembly.

This role ensures production flow, product quality, and operational efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, basic drawings, or production documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking or documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-assembly machinery and equipment to prepare components and subassemblies according to work instructions and production specifications.
• Gather, stage, and prepare parts, hardware, and materials required for pre-assembly operations to support production schedules.
• Perform basic mechanical pre-assembly tasks such as fastening, fitting, or aligning components to create subassemblies for downstream production.
• Inspect components and subassemblies for accuracy, proper fit, and quality standards; identify and report defects or inconsistencies.
• Record production output, quality checks, and equipment performance using production logs or digital systems as required.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and notify maintenance or supervision of any malfunctions, abnormalities, or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures, operating guidelines, and PPE requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and accessible.
