Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry-level Engineering Technologist to support design and evaluation of safe, reliable facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial projects in North Carolina. You will work under supervision to learn codes, workflows, and client requirements while building practical design and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities include safety adherence, site visits, and preparation of project packages.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or GED; preferred some college coursework.
• 0–1 year of experience in power distribution engineering, electrical craft work, or GIS/CAD-related work.
• Basic understanding of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret simple drawings and basic engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply safety policies at all times.
• Assist with site visits and coordination with construction personnel.
• Develop skills in company and client design software and work management tools.
• Prepare project and job packages including material lists and labor estimates.
• Support mentoring from experienced engineers and professionals.
