The role offers hands-on experience in power system modeling, studies, and documentation, working with senior engineers and industry tools on solar, wind and storage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in power systems, transmission planning and renewable energy.
• Willingness to learn power system modeling and analysis techniques.
• Willingness to develop proficiency with tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF and ASPEN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect engineering drawings, equipment specifications and datasheets for power system models and studies.
• Review inputs for accuracy and completeness before studies.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications and technical data.
• Track engineering studies performed internally and by external consultants.
• Coordinate data inputs to progress studies on schedule.
• Assist with basic power flow, voltage and stability studies under guidance.
• Learn and apply industry-standard power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF and ASPEN.
• Support development of models for solar, wind and storage projects.
• Assist with transmission and grid interconnection activities.
• Monitor interconnection requirements and document potential project impacts.
