Job summary

RTX is seeking a power electronics design engineer for the EAP Department in the United States. The role focuses on power conversion circuitry, both non-isolated and isolated, with emphasis on board-mounted applications and collaboration through design phases from requirements to testing. Candidate must hold a STEM bachelor's degree and be able to obtain a U.S.

security clearance. Knowledge of MATLAB, analog design, and various CAD/ simulation tools is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with analog electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, termination, and comparators).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated and isolated converters).
• Support circuit card development from requirements through initial integration testing.
• Develop test procedures, capture data, and analyze results to verify requirements.
• Guide ECAD drafters on layout and routing with senior engineer support.
