Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of large-scale construction projects, primarily within data centers, and across chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and heavy industrial sectors. You will assist with change requests, planning and scheduling, tracking progress and expenses, and communicating with stakeholders.

You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects stay on track and within budget,

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of direct experience in project management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time.
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or combination of experience/education.
• Good understanding of reading drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of billing and collections.
• Familiarity with computer-based estimating.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project scope and cost estimation.
• Manage project expectations and subcontractor execution.
• Maintain project documentation.
• Track project expenses and budget.
• Prepare reports.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors.
• Attend and participate in coordination meetings as requested.
• Research and prepare change requests to resolve design issues for approval.
• Research and recommend solutions to design document problems.
• Monitor field/contract work to ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Assist with submittal and RFI processes.
• Assist in early billing and tracking.
