Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Plumbing Engineer for the Dallas, TX office to join the Property & Buildings Team. You will assist with design, development, building, testing, and inspection of plumbing systems on infrastructure projects.

The role involves data collection on site, basic research, load calculations, and documentation. A bachelor’s degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering and 0–1 year experience are required, with familiarity in AutoCAD or Revit and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience
• Familiarity with design/build concepts
• Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical codes and regulations
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Basic proficiency with office software and technical writing
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from site, surveys, blueprints, and reports for project development and construction
• Assist with basic plumbing engineering tasks including research, site condition inspections, and installation of plumbing systems in compliance with codes
• Provide entry-level technical support on design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on engineering issues
• Generate documentation and specifications using electronic systems and field notes
• Adhere to safety guidelines and site procedures
• Complete training on assigned tasks and support project needs
• Demonstrate ethical use of resources and company funds
