Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Plumbing Engineer in Dallas, TX to support the Property & Buildings Team. You will assist with design, development, building, testing, and inspection of plumbing systems on infrastructure, building, and construction projects in public and private sectors.

Responsibilities include data collection, site condition assessments, basic design tasks, and documentation. Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in plumbing/mechanical engineering and up to 1 year of

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience
  • Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with design/build concepts.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems, codes and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from sites, surveys, drawings, and reports.
  • Support professional plumbing engineering work including research of site conditions and installation of plumbing systems.
  • Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies.
  • Assist with verifying site characteristics and addressing engineering issues.
  • Create documentation and specifications using electronic systems and field notebooks.
  • Follow safety guidelines and site procedures, including data collection and surveys.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to company policies and codes of conduct.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed by the project.
