Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking an Entry-Level PLC Programmer to join the Controls Engineering team. You will assist with PLC programming, panel testing, system troubleshooting, and commissioning activities while gaining hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley control systems.

This role offers opportunities for technical growth in a collaborative, safety-focused environment, partnering with experienced engineers and technicians across projects.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
0–3 years of experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, or related field.
Recent graduates with relevant coursework, internships, or hands-on project experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist with PLC programming, testing, and troubleshooting under guidance of senior engineers.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and P&IDs.
Support modifications to existing Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 (ControlLogix and CompactLogix) programs.
Participate in panel testing, FAT, and startup activities.
Update electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical as needed.
Document programming changes, test results, and project revisions.
