DNOW in the United States seeks an entry-level Programmer I to support the development and testing of PLC and HMI programs under direct supervision. This role focuses on basic programming, documentation, troubleshooting, and commissioning support while building foundational skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and edit simple PLC and HMI logic blocks under supervision.
Assist with testing, simulation, and validation of control programs in-house and in the field.
Update documentation, tag databases, I/O lists, and revision logs.
Support system commissioning by monitoring program behavior and performing controlled adjustments.
Troubleshoot basic automation issues with guidance from senior programmers.
Review wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics to support programming tasks.
Follow established coding standards, quality guidelines, and version control processes.
